Masterclasses in Sondershausen have a long tradition dating back to the time of the princely conservatory in the 19th century. Today they take place with different orchestral instruments each year as well as in the subject of singing. The final concert is organised in cooperation with the Loh-Orchester Sondershausen.

In 2025, the Thüringer Landesmusikakademie Sondershausen invites musically talented musicians from all over the world to Sondershausen to work with Céline Moinet, solo oboist with the Staatskapelle Dresden and professor at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden.

In addition to individual lessons with Céline Moinet, the special features of the masterclass are a pipe construction workshop with Lorenzo Masala and the opportunity to work and perform with the Loh-Orchester Sondershausen: after an intensive working phase, the best participants will present themselves to the public at the 2nd Loh-Konzert on 26 February 7:30 pm in the Achteckhaus.
