34th International Sondershausen Masterclass 2027: Orchestral Song and Aria - English Version

Masterclasses in Sondershausen have a long tradition dating back to the days of the princely conservatory in the 19th century. Today they are held annually focusing on alternating orchestral instruments as well as voice. The final concerts are organised in collaboration with the Loh-Orchester Sondershausen.
In 2027, the Thüringer Landesmusikakademie Sondershausen is inviting musically advanced individuals from around the world to work with the soprano Sibylla Rubens. The masterclass will focus on the orchestral song and aria. The pianist Henning Lucius will accompany the course as répétiteur.
In addition to the individual tuition with Sibylla Rubens what makes this masterclass special is the opportunity to work and perform with the Loh-Orchester Sondershausen: following an intensive period of work the best participants will perform in public as part of the Loh Concert at the Achteckhaus.

The pianist Henning Lucius studied in Hamburg under Peter-Jürgen Hofer, Gernot Kahl and Volker Banfield, completing his concert examination, and in Bloomington, USA, under György Sebok and Shigeo Neriki.
