Masterclasses in Sondershausen have a long tradition dating back to the time of the princely conservatory in the 19th century. Today they take place with different orchestral instruments each year as well as in the subject of singing. The final concert is organised in cooperation with the Loh-Orchester Sondershausen.
In 2026, the Thüringer Landesmusikakademie Sondershausen invites musically talented musicians from all over the world to Sondershausen to work with Hartmut Rohde, professor at the Universität der Künste Berlin.
In addition to individual lessons with Hartmut Rohde, the special feature of the masterclass is the opportunity to work and perform with the Loh-Orchester Sondershausen: after an intensive working phase, the best participants will present themselves to the public at the 2nd Loh-Konzert on 25 February 7:30 pm in the Achteckhaus.
Professor Hartmut Rohde
